Self contained accommodation for 2 adults and 1 child, with your very own fenced garden and terrace. The property is well equipped and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Double bed. Bathroom with large walk in shower, kitchen with fridge freezer, hob, microwave oven and everything you need in the well equipped kitchen. Open plan living, dining, sitting area. Your accommodation is private and peaceful with door leading to your own private terrace over looking the garden with olive trees. You have a wonderful veiw across the valley where you will hear birds and peace. In the winter months we have blown air heating. We have a large flat screen tv with programmes in Portuguese and English. We have books and games available in the house. The sofa in the sitting room is a sofa bed suitable for a small child. We have wonderful walks through woods to rivers, waterfalls, streams and lakes. We have the park with butterfly house, cafe and restaurant. Fishing lake. The accommodation is 100m from our own property so we are always at hand if you have any problems or questions but the accommodation is positioned within the village but a peaceful and tranquil setting The cottage is situated in the village of Vale Mestre just 5 Kms from Constancia. There is so much to do and see in the area. Activities available are tennis, hiking, river beach, river swimming, canoeing, riding, fishing in the carp lake, fishing in the river and fishing in the Castelo do Bode Lake. Water sports on the lake. Outside gym facilities in the park. (400 metres) Places to visit are Tomar a beautiful old town with the Convento Cristo, Castle Almoural set spectacularly in the centre of the river, Golega where they are famous for the Luistano horse with a 2 week horse festival in November, Fatima, Constancia, Astromony park, Museums, the large town of Abrantes and Entrocamento with a great railway museum. Markets at Tomar, Tramagal, Entroncamento, Abrantes. The list is endles and so much to fill your time. We have a restaurant and cafe close to the house but also the Ribatejo is renowned for their lovely food, very often the restaurants are set overlooking water. A car is needed to get around to the sights and activities in the area. However we are close to a main train station with fast trains to Lisbon should you wish to explore further a field. There journey to Lisbon by train is only 54 mins on the fast train. To Castelo do Branco the train follows the river with lovely scenery. The trains are reliable, clean and cheap. Half price for over 65s. The roads are very easy to drive on as there is very little traffic. Available to use is iron, ironing board, hair dryer, folding chairs so you can relax.
