Plus easy access to enjoy walking and local hikes. Newly furnished appliances, mattresses, linens, and furniture. Kept in top clean condition. Fully stocked kitchen. Solid wifi connection in case you want get some morning work done. The cottage has been new furnished with a new and fresh feeling inside. You'll have private access to the entire property. Large open living room and kitchen. Kitchen has more than you'll need for cooking and enjoying yourself. Open patio with chairs is an amazing place to grab a coffee or a beer and enjoy the surrounding mountain views. Living room has a ventless gas furnace with TV and large open windows to soak in the views. Excellent wifi connection - yes we've had many software engineers and grad students come to work here remotely. Private driveway parking. Easy walking around the town of Index. Walking around town feels like your on a nature hike! Index General Store is a great place to grab extra supplies. Walk distance to several top hikes in Washington and a short drive to nearby hikes and Steven's Pass skiing. Message or call anytime with issues. The quaint town of Index is very small and nestled right in the Skykomish River valley. It's a great neighborhood to go on quiet walks along the river. The river is 1 block in walking distance from the cottage. The train and the historic buildings adds to the nostalgic feel of the town. Please know that the train does go by few times at night which can be surprising if you didn't know it passed through Index - just something to take note of. Easy to walk around the town. Please note, 2 car max parking in driveway. 4 guests max, no extra guests, no pets, sorry :/ Train does come every few hours which can be surprising if you’re not expecting it. Otherwise it’s nostalgic for most. Nest doorbell located on front door.
