Please note: There is an unfenced river in the adjoining grounds.. Set in the rural hamlet of Candy, just a few miles from Oswestry on the Shropshire/Wales border, this pretty cottage adjoins the owner’s home and has an enclosed garden and access to riverside grounds. The property is well positioned for making the most of the unspoilt countryside, with walks from the door along Offa’s Dyke and into Candy Woods. The village of Trefonen is nearby with a pub/restaurant and shop. There are 4 National Trust properties within a 40-minute drive, including Powys Castle, Attingham Park, Chirk Castle and Erddig. Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway is an easy drive, as is Llangollen, famous for its Eisteddfod, white water activities, horse drawn barges and steam railway. Locally you can find the Llanymynech Limeworks Heritage Area and visitor centre, the British Ironwork Centre, Park Hall working farm, quad trekking, golf, clay shooting, paintballing and go karting. There is also easy access to Chester, Shrewsbury and Snowdonia. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles. Free WiFi
