Renovated throughout in 2021 A luxury 3 bedroom, 17th Century Cotswold stone cottage, located in a quiet village near to the towns of Winchcombe and Cheltenham. The cottage maintains much of its original charm & character, providing a lovely homely feel for up to 6 people. The house has a cosy relaxing atmosphere along with direct access to the gardens, a short walk to a lovely country pub, excellent towns & villages starting at just under 5 minutes drive away. Kitchen This room has a classic fitted kitchen which includes an Everhot range cooker, Belfast sink with heritage tapware, integrated dishwasher and fridge. The kitchen is finished with flagstone flooring. The garden is accessible through the double doors from the kitchen. Downstairs shower room Shower, Toilet and wash hand basin Sitting room The heart of this house. This room has a large inglenook with a log burning stove, exposed beams and window seats along with sofas and a TV. Dining Room Dining Table and Chair First Floor Cloakroom accessed from the landing area. Bedroom 1 - Double bedroom (King size bed) with exposed beams, a window seat and ample wardrobe space. Bedroom 2 - Small Double bedroom (King size bed) with an ensuite shower room. Second Floor (Attic) Double bedroom (King Size bed) with its own cloakroom. This room does have low exposed beams which are head height for lots of people! Outside Directly outside the kitchen is a small Cotswold stone seating area. Around the corner to the rear of the cottage is a larger space for all guest to sit and enjoy the garden. Unrestricted on street parking is available opposite the cottage. This is on a first come first served basis Just a 5 minute walk will take you to a fantastic family & dog-friendly village pub that serves great food with beautiful countryside views. For walkers, within minutes you can access the 'Winchcombe Way': a 42-mile mostly off-road walk through the northern Cotswolds and its wonderful scenery & villages. For a more leisurely ramble, you can join the same track which takes you over Langley Hill into the thriving Anglo Saxon town of Winchcombe; a walk just short of 2 miles. Winchcombe is famed for its historic architecture, independent shops, restaurants, tea rooms and inns. One of Winchcombe's biggest attractions is Sudeley Castle, with its rich, royal history and acres of grounds open to the public. Around 8 miles away, you'll reach the Cotswold Spa town of Cheltenham. Best known for horse racing, it is also the most complete Regency town in the UK, much of which overlooks some of the county's most beautiful parks. Cheltenham is known as the 'Festival Town', playing host to 35+ festivals annually including Jazz, Literature, Science and Music to name a few. There are an abundance of boutique and high street shops, theatres, plenty of restaurants & bars and nightclubs to entertain. Further afield, lots of the well-known Cotswold towns and villages are between a 15 - 30 minute drive away. The local bus service offers a Cotswold "Explorer Ticket", which allows for unlimited travel through the towns and villages on the day of purchase. The Cotswolds is a rural area of south central England covering parts of 6 counties, notably Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. Its rolling hills and grassland harbour thatched medieval villages, churches and stately homes built of distinctive local yellow limestone. The 102-mile Cotswold Way walking trail follows the Cotswold Edge escarpment from Bath in the south to Chipping Campden in the north I will where possible be available for check in. We welcome well behaved pets (We kindly ask that you advise us in advance so we can confirm the booking) We request that pets are not to go upstairs or on the furniture. Gretton is set in a beautiful part of the north Cotswolds. The village itself has a village hall, church, primary school, lovely childrens play area and playing field and the very popular pub The Royal Oak, which serves great food and is both family and dog friendly. The thriving Saxon town of Winchcombe is less than 5 minutes drive from the cottage. Here you will have access to an excellent range of day to day shopping facilities along with some fine restaurants, pubs, library and a doctors surgery. The Cotswolds is a rural area of south central England covering parts of 6 counties, notably Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. Its rolling hills and grassland harbour thatched medieval villages, churches and stately homes built of distinctive local yellow limestone. Accessibility information • Small step to enter the property through the front gate • Ground floor shower room • Bedrooms located on the first and second floor • Steep steps to the second floor • Rear and side gardens are multi levelled with steps • Typical of the age of this cottage, there are low, narrower doorways and low beams in some of the rooms The cottage has an Everhot (similar to an Aga) for oven and hob cooking.
