The house of the tree

Want a holiday in peace and green? At the “house of the tree”, you can take a nap in the orchard and walk our 50 acres of meadow and river slope. You can take advantage of the numerous activities proposed at the leisure base accessible on foot: beach, pedal-boat, kayak on the river... as well as, in July and August, those planned for the children. We live on a farm, it is also an opportunity for you to discover our sheep! The “house of the tree” is a dwelling adjacent to the farmhouse where we live. The house is on three floors. On the first floor: the living-room with a kitchen area (and possibility of two single beds) On the second floor, the double bedroom with shower and WC. On the third floor (accessible by a miller's ladder): 3 single beds (one of them being in a little alcove). A window allows having a look in the sheep shed! The house is rustic, but functional. Travelers have access to the entire dwelling, as well as all the outdoor (50 acres). We live on the spot but are often on the move. We both work for the protection of the environment. We will be happy to chat with you, but it may happen that we will not meet during your stay. Surprise, then! We live in a beautiful landscape, midway between Paris and Brittany. La Censie is a 50 acres farm where we have a small agricultural production (apple, nuts, aromatized wine, lamb meat). It aims to become a place of permaculture and a refuge for biodiversity. By train: TGV train station of Sablé-sur-Sarthe (20 mn away) By car: exit n°1 of the A81 motorway (10 mn away) --- Come by train The nearest station is Sablé-sur-Sarthe (1h15 by direct fast train (TGV) from Paris Montparnasse). We can arrange your trip from the train station (20mn). If you come from Brittany, the nearest train station is Sillé-le-Guillaume. The cheap plan from Paris: • From Paris: take the Ouigo train direct from Paris to Sablé-sur-Sarthe (1 per day, mid-day) • To Paris: take the following tickets separately (their combination is not proposed by the SNCF): 1- a Ouigo train from Le Mans to Paris at the end of the day and 2- a regional train (TER) from Sablé to Le Mans which arrives 10 minutes before (no problem to get the ouigo). If we cannot pick you up at the station, you can come by bus: Go to Le Mans train station and take a bus-and-taxi to Brûlon, from where you can walk to our place (30 mn). Ask us for the plan from Brûlon to our place. Book the trip by cal (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) then book the corresponding train ticket to Le Mans. When you arrive at Le Mans train station, take the exit « Nord » and buy your ticket at the « TIS » ticket office. --- Come by car pooling From Paris, pay a trip to Laval (Rennes if the schedule is better) and ask the driver to leave you at the exit n°1 on the A81 motorway, just after Le Mans. It is not necessary for the driver to exit the motorway, there is a parking before the exit toll. We pick you up from the parking lot. To return to Paris, pay a trip from Laval (Rennes if the schedule is better) and ask the driver to take you at the exit n°1 on the A81 motorway, after Laval. We will take you there. --- Come by motorway (2h15 from Paris, “Porte d’Italy) Coming from Paris, take the A11 motorway to Nantes, then, at Le Mans, the A81 motorway to Rennes. The sorting method is simple to remember: what packs is for recycling, what rots is for compost, and what burns is for the fireplace. What’s left... but what IS left?
