Private double ensuite room in cosy Somerset cottage. The cottage is in the idyllic village of Blagdon, in the mendip hills. Situated on a hill the property offers fantastic views of Blagdon Lake. Perfect as a base for exploring the mendips. Cyclists and walkers very welcome. Storage for bikes and muddy boots available. 15 minute drive to the city of Wells, 30 minute drive to the city of Bristol. Glastonbury, Cheddar and Weston-super-mare all nearby. Only 15 minute drive to Bristol airport. You will have a spacious, comfortable, clean and bright double room with an ensuite. The room is in a three bedroom detached 200 year old cottage in the village of Blagdon. The room looks out onto our garden. You are welcome to use the garden during your stay and sit and take in the views of Blagdon lake from our raised decking area. Tea and coffee are provided in the room and we offer a complimentary breakfast of granola and fresh milk. Toiletries and towels provided. Chest of drawers and hanging space available in the room. Guests will have access through the front door, up the stairs and into the private room with ensuite. The rest of the house is private. Guests are welcome to use the garden and decking area where there is comfy seating overlooking the lake. There is an outhouse on the property guests can use for storage if required. Plenty of on street parking available. Our home is set back from the road, offering a secluded and peaceful hideaway. Please ask us if flexible check-in is required, we will try to accommodate this. We will be here to welcome you to our home. We live in the house. You are welcome to ask us questions if we are at home and if we are out we are always reachable by phone. We are keen walkers and are very happy to recommend our favourite local walks. Blagdon is a quiet and friendly village with a strong community spirit. The area is ideal for walkers of all abilities as well as road cyclists and mountain bikers. The village offers three pubs, a shop, butchers and coffee shop. Endless beautiful walks from the doorstep. The closest train station is Yatton, which is a 15 minute drive away. Bristol airport is only a 10 minute drive away. Taxis are available and there is a local bus, however it is infrequent. It is easiest to travel around local areas by car. Coombe Lodge wedding venue- less than 5 minute drive. He is kept downstairs in the private areas of the house. He is not allowed upstairs at all times and never has access to the guest room.
