We are currently shutting down for the winter. While the road is state maintained until 1/4 mile from the cabin, the weather conditions make it difficult to plan your stay. You can send a message if you choose days closer to Easter if you’d like. We will have time available before Easter. We look forward to another great year ahead. Quaint and cozy cabin with a short walk to the lake. Rustic feel with simple and convenient amenities. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Sit on the porch, around the fire pit, or inside with the warm natural wood. This is a great location to unplug, be inspired, and unwind from the hustle of modern living. Great off the water place for children, yet close enough for adults to go and enjoy the cool fresh water. Please see “other things to note”, for more info. Entire property is for guest use. There is a woods path/road, that goes down to the waterfront, which is also the public boat landing. Please be aware, you are 2.2 miles off the main road. We have gotten some 4 star feedback for location because of its distance away from everything. This is an easy to get to location, on a well maintained dirt road. Please locate Boyd Lake on the gps and make sure you are aware of it’s location from the city of Bangor or Orono. If you want to get away from the traffic and people, this is a fantastic place to be. Entire wooded front yard is for use by guests. We are currently renovating and making the area larger and improving drainage so it’s dry. Please excuse some of the construction area. We are working diligently to get it finished for your enjoyment. Please feel free to call with any questions. If needed, a property manager may be able to show up within 30-45 min. 8.5 miles to Bradford General Store. Pizza, sandwiches, groceries, alcohol, and more. 12 miles to Lagrange General store, for gas, alcohol, and misc items. Small restaurant (closed currently due to covid) operates with limited hours. 14 miles to Rogers Market (heading toward city of Bangor) for gas and hardware store, along with pizza, sandwiches, and alcohol. Access to the waterfront is by a lightly maintained woods road. Please walk the trail/road, prior to driving your vehicle. This is a nice nature walk of approximately 1/4 mile, and about 10-15 min depending on your speed and curiosity. Vehicle access to waterfront is allowed, but if you have a small car, or a vehicle that you do not want to get scratched, it is best to walk or take an ATV. Currently, there is no running water. We just got a well drilled, and the pump is installed; but for now, it’s freshwater water jugs and rainwater collection. With this, hot water is via the stove top. Sorry for the inconvenience. We are working in between guests to get everything operational, but the cabin is extremely popular, and we are doing our best to finish things up. There is a spacious outhouse a few steps away, and a composting toilet attached to the cabin. Access to the waterfront is by a lightly maintained woods road.
