Perfect first stop or the last stop before you go home. Very quiet neighborhood by the sea with a stunning mountain view. There is a private parking in front of our house. We have a friendly dog and 5 happy hens in our garden but no cockerel. Upon arrival: When you arrive it's advisable to grocery shop close to Reykjavik or Keflavik. I suggest Bónus, Krónan or Nettó. If you like to drink it is advised to purchase alcoholic beverages at the airport duty free store. Otherwise there is a Vinbudin store which sells alcohol. To drink and drive is not allowed in Iceland - never - not even a small beer. Weather: The weather in Iceland is very unpredictable and extreme. Please take care when renting a car outside of the summer season to be sure it's a four wheel or all wheel drive.
