Float on the Ouachita River

Enjoy a relaxing view, watch boats pass by, fish from the front porch, go kayaking, or just look for the deer at night. Bookings are not accepted after 6pm, and guests cannot arrive after dusk, due to the steep decline of the ramp. Pets are NOT allowed. We are tucked away at the end of a quiet river neighborhood. Since it is floating house on the river, it will be a little walk down to the house and the view will constantly be changing, depending on the river level. You may use the land around where you will park, the land in front of the floating house, the boat dock, and the floating house. We also have fishing gear, three kayaks, and paddle boards that you are welcome to use. Please enjoy swimming in the river. It is so relaxing! The space behind the floating house is shared space with the house on the hill that is connected via the ramp. If you need us, please contact us through the message system and we will get back with you as soon as possible. Most of this area is filled with weekend visitors. There are a few fulltime residents. But the majority of the traffic is boaters and fishermen because there is a boat ramp at the other end of the neighborhood. We are not close to public transportation. You will need to have your own transportation. The walk to the floating house may be difficult, depending on the current river level. It may be a challenge to walk up and down. It is important to us that you are capable of walking up and down a ramp, which may be steep if the river is low. We do not allow smoking. It gets in the home and is just a smell that we cannot easily get out of the furniture. Please make sure that you are not smoking anywhere on our property. You are welcome to smoke downstairs next to your car, but make sure that you are responsible for your butts and dispose of them (do not toss them on the ground or in the flower beds).
