Quoll Cottage is the perfect place for those who wish to get away from it all. Nestled into a sweet little cove, the cottage sits on the hillside and has views of the water from the front deck and lounge area. A large pot belly stove and ducted heating ensure the cottage stays warm all year round. The cottage consists of two bedrooms. The second bedroom is available when 3 or more guests book to stay. There is a separate lounge and large dining room, galley kitchen, full bathroom with bath and a mudroom as the entrance. There is a large deck with a small table and chairs at the front of the cottage. Please note there is a storage area and office that is closed to guests. Abels Bay is a quiet little community nestled on the Huon River and is only a 15 minute drive from the township of Cygnet. Think lazy days strolling along secluded beaches, gentle walks alongside the river collecting driftwood and looking for fossils, followed by a relaxing soak in the claw-foot tub. If adventure is more your thing, there are well known walks and national parks an easy drive away. Here you will find yourself amongst ancient forests, crystal clear lakes and streams and cascading waterfalls. For the gastronomes there are lovey cafes and restaurants close by in Cygnet and vineyards, cider sheds, distilleries, providores and local farmers markets all within a half hour drive. The beautiful timber galley kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm. If staying at home is more your thing you will not be disappointed. The cottage offers a big comfy bed with luxury linen sheets to snuggle in to. The floors are tiled with reclaimed polished brick and most of the furnishings are antique or reclaimed.
