ATKINSON BEDROOM - APPLEBY CASTLE

Located in the servants quarters with an ensuite bathroom and a super king brass bed. Enjoy the ambiance of the dining room, old chapel, great hall, games room and bar before retiring upstairs in warmth and comfort. There is a roof light but no external windows. Very private and discrete bedroom located on the top floor of the castle. Great hall, dining room, games room, bar, old chapel and grounds. Our reception is manned from 8am until 10.30am and from 3pm until 10.00pm. There is always someone at the property in case of emergency or urgent assistance. Appleby Castle sits on the hill overlooking the ancient county town of Westmorland. Set at the foot of the Pennines nestled next to the meandering River there are 25 acres of parkland with many animals and nativer red squirrels in the grounds. Appleby train station is 900 metres walk from the castle. Appleby Castle cherishes one of the few remaining intact Norman Keeps in the UK. It is a museum detailing the early Norman history intertwined with the history of the castle, with a time line displays and many interesting characters to meet.
