Welcome to Peace Point, a truly beautiful and peaceful spot for boondocking with your RV, travel trailer, camper, bus, van etc., next to 2 adjoining creeks that create a point of land with the tranquil and meditative sounds of rushing water all around you. The main creek contains native and stocked trout for which you are welcome to catch and eat! Located in the Tusquittee mountains of the Nantahala National Forest, our Proper-Ch'i is part of the awesomeness of the Southern Blue Ridge Mountains. There is no electricity service or sewer hookups... However, we are happy to fill your fresh water tank with water from the creek, there are dump stations available nearby, we have a portable dump tanks for you to borrow for dumping at the local dump stations, and you are welcome to run your generator. We currently have 2-3 slots available on a large graveled pull through area giving plenty of space so that you are not on top of one another when multiple sites are booked. We will book appropriately depending on vehicle sizes so as to be sure there is plenty of room. We have a nice area setup right next to where the creeks come together with hammock swings, hammocks, a fire pit, and solar lights. We have plenty of firewood and a propane grill available too. A screened in deck with a hot outdoor shower and clear roof will be coming soon! We are here to socialize if that’s your thing, if not, that’s fine too! It’s your vacation :-) Just a few of the many many things to do (please see our guidebook for a more comprehensive listing of all our favorites): Only 5 minutes of driving to the center square of Hayesville which has a 5 star restaurant, fantastic pizzeria, one of the 4 local breweries, interesting stores/antiques, plus the super cool Cherokee Homestead Exhibit and Clay County Historical & Arts Museum. Access to Lake Chatuge is just a couple more minutes away with plenty of public boat ramps and beaches, marinas with boat rentals, lots of hiking and biking trails, golfing, and gorgeous views. There is just too much to list hidden here in the little gem of a town which happens to have been voted the 4th nicest place in the US.
