Unique stay in characterful house with walled garden and pool. One double bedroom with king size bed in charming room at the top of the house with its own shower room and breakfast/coffee area. Option to take second bedroom with twin singles on the same floor, ideal for children or close friends. This bedroom shares your bathroom and is only available to primary guest. Views over the gardens, opportunity to use the pool in summer months. The two bedrooms occupy the top floor of this 17th century farmhouse, please note it is up two flights of stairs so not suitable for the elderly or infirm. Comfortable accommodation with views over the garden, it offers two double bedrooms with a shared shower room. The landing between the two rooms provides an area to enjoy your morning coffee, tea and cafetière making facilities, a mini fridge containing water and milk. Glasses, cutlery and crockery provided. Also a small dedicated work area with wifi. Bardwell is a lovely village with a Post Office, two pubs, an excellent bakery with small farm shop. Also the Grumpy Goat - the newly built Cricket Club bar and eatery, serving full breakfast menu Wed-Sunday, good home cooking on Friday and Saturday evening and Sunday lunch - booking advised for evening and lunch. All within walking distance. Car parking at property, free parking throughout village. House is in an attractive village, Bardwell. Amenities include Woosters Bakery that is also a family run small farm shop (open Wed-Sat) selling fresh coffee as well as wonderful bread and pastries. There are 2 pubs both serving food, the more traditional Dun Cow with excellent real ale and standard pub fare and The Grumpy Goat, part of the cricket club, serving freshly made good food on Friday and Saturday evening and Sunday lunch. Also open for full english breakfast and lunch Wed-Sunday. There are playing fields, lovely walks and a Post Office. 7 miles to Bury St Edmunds. 3 miles to Wyken Vineyard with its Saturday morning farmers market, cafe and The Leaping Hare restaurant. Theobolds Restaurant in Ixworth is about 1 mile away. Both highly rated. Off road parking at the house. Everything in the village is walking distance. Nearest train stations - Thurston, Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket and Diss. Buses run twice a day from the village to Bury St Edmunds. Second bedroom of twin singles bookable at a discounted price of £25 per person per night. Tea, cafetière, granola, juice and milk provided. Guests welcome to bring their own foodstuffs. Glasses, cutlery and crockery supplied. Special requests such as gluten-free, dairy-free produce please let us know and we will happily supply .
