View Carriage House. Due to rain, it’s very slippery....WALK CAREFULY!The gardens surrounding the driveway and entrance are available, plus an additional table with chairs for you. There are herbs by front door of large shed, harvest~please. Also, Highland Road is a single lane country road with a cull- de-sac at southern end and perfect for walking! Please prep for ticks and mosquitos. The remaining landscape that surrounds the main house, including the terrace, corral, courtyard, driveway and gardens are not guest accessible, please. Thank you. Front door is unlocked. The sanitized keys are located on ceramic dish on bottom shelf of corner kitchen bookcase. Please return them there at checkout. The area is rural; with proximity to Ulster Co. festivals, Rail Trail heads, local historic towns: Stone Ridge, Woodstock, Kingston, Kerhonkson....each town has its own unique museums, clubs, restaurants, festivals and vibe. The walk across the Reservoir is 5 minutes away. All local Rail Trail heads (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) minutes. And, ski resorts are (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) minutes: Hunter , Windham, Belleayre Mts. Stone Ridge, Upstate NY, at center of Ulster Co, is a 2 hr drive from NYC. Guests will need a car for access to grocery stores, restaurants, farmers markets and events. Driving on back country roads can be awesome and beautiful. Any season. Mt. View Carriage House’s driveway is on the right hand side of Highland Road about 80 feet past the concrete driveway of the main house (3-story modern). It’s a very narrow gravel entrance (take care) but, with an area large enough to turn around and park several cars. One driveway entrance is blocked off due to storm damage, it has a sign & chain closing it off. From the driveway, guests walk the lit path to the front door, which is French-style glass. You will pass the lavender garden box>>Take care, it is well-lit, but low! A garden shed is visible and a table with chairs for another spot to relax outside. There are two areas of herbs: in the Mediterranean Garden surrounding the south side of MVCH and in pots at the door of the large shed. Guests are welcome to harvest, as this is the season!
