Book here for a peaceful long-stay in the heart of Great Ayton! The main bedroom is a good size and second room could either be a guest room/study etc. Kitchen, bathroom new and front room very cosy. Perfect for if you'd like to work away/explore for a few months. Cottage is on a quiet street with a little shop for amenities & great curry house at end of road. 10 min walk to the charming high street with pubs, shops, fish & chips & 4 pubs. This is a cosy cottage over 150 years old, ideal place to set up camp whilst you explore the boyhood village of James Cook - Great Ayton. Surrounding neighbours have cats so only cat lovers should get in touch! Property has large master bedroom, 2nd small bedroom/study and new fitted bathroom and kitchen, cosy front room and front entrance area. There is a small yard at exterior of property which is a gorgeous sun trap, please enjoy. As this is a long stay property, guests have access to the full property. Guests can msg me on air b n b if they need anything, please be aware I work full time so may not respond straight away. I will greet you on check in to take gas and electric meter readings and to change direct debit info to the property hirer and will take meter readings on check out to chance back to hosts direct debit details. Please treat my home as you would your own :) The pretty village of Great Ayton is perched on the banks of the River Leven. The village has ancient origins, with several Neolithic sites within the parish boundary. In former times, the village's industries included linen making, tanning, brewing and mining. Nowadays, the village is well known for its two picturesque village greens, Captain Cook Schoolroom Museum and proximity to the intriguing Roseberry Topping mountain. There are plenty of walks to enjoy, you must try Suggits sweets and ice cream shop and enjoy a walk along the river Leven. From this property you will be able to get to high street and start exploring on foot. For Roseberry Topping and further afield walks I would recommend driving or I can reveal a charming short cut! Great Ayton has a train station so can get into and out of the village easily. There is a couple of bus services and taxis are available if needed. This is a lovely quiet property and street so please be respectful of this. Please clean and tidy the house regularly and treat it as if it were your own. Both general and recycling bins are located in the property next to 15 Arthur Street left if you're exiting the back door. Each bin has the number 15 on it.
