Thorner Village Church

The village has some poor mobile coverage areas, but I do pick up messages eventually! A charming village setting within easy reach of Leeds, Harrogate & York. Village amenities include 2 pubs, one restaurant, a deli on Main Street and fresh farm eggs available at the farm entrance on Carr Lane. The Mexborough - pub with Sky sports & garden; resident Indian restaurant & takeaway (Maisha Spice) The Fox - pet friendly traditional pub serving wood fired pizza The Beehive - bar/restaurant; upmarket quasi British fayre The mobile Village Chippy visits Thorner each Friday evening. There is plenty of parking in the main church car park, but if it is full there is plenty of free parking directly outside the apartment on Carr Lane. There are no parking restrictions whatsoever in Thorner village. There is a footpath accessed in the corner of the church car park that leads directly into the heart of the village & bus stops. If you choose to travel by public transport the number 7 bus leaves Main Street heading to either Wetherby/Harrogate or towards Leeds City Centre. [Please note that access to and from the village via Thorner Lane from the A64 is now permanently closed]
