The Homestead: Your Adirondack Home away from Home

Our charming 2 level apartment .The Fireplace is easy to use. The original 1930’s oak staircase leads to the bedroom. (We have a stair chair-lift, tell us if needed)We have included everything you'll need while staying here. 1 block walk to the public beach on the beautiful Upper Hudson River. Our Guests are allowed FREE usage of our kayaks & life vests upon request. *We are very attentive to Super Sanitizing and disinfecting. *No Smoking ! (Smoking is only allowed outside This apartment is on-site of our very unique business, The Barn, an 1800s Barn renovated into a Seasonal Soft ice Cream shop. The entire property is ranch/farm themed. It's a great photo spot with full size horse and cow statues. The guests have exclusive use of the apartment and wrap around porch. We do have a wheelchair ramp to the porch. You have designated parking in our private lot. We do allow pets but you must tell us about them before booking (age, size,...) before we can determine if they'd be happy here. We live less than a mile away,... and are reachable by phone or text. In the summer, we can be found in the adjacent building working at our Soft ice Cream business. We are located in a very small village on the Hudson River. We are in the heart of the village,.. walk to the grocery store, pizzeria, convenience stores, and eateries. The streets are walking friendly and many folks enjoy walks for exercise. We have a great walk path that starts across the street at The public Beach and ends in our Pagenstecher Park on the ledges above the river. Our small village doesn't have a transit system, no buses or taxis,.. you actually can schedule a train ride from our train "station",.. check online, Amtrak for details. Otherwise,... walking, biking or driving would be the mode of transportation here. You can call Uber too From May through September, we have outdoor live music , 6-9pm at our adjacent business,... every Saturday evening. ( Mostly Country/Folk/Bluegrass (Website hidden by Airbnb) a family friendly business,... good hometown fun,... not rowdy at all (no alcohol is served).
