Tuscan renovated house in vineyards & olive trees

Casa Loumavi is located in Terricciola - city of wines, in the Etruscan territory - in the hills between Pisa and Volterra, 1h from Florence, 1.5 h from Siena. It was a little farm of 200m2, built on the beginning of the 1800s, and totally renewed in 2020, in the middle of vineyards and olive trees. Attractions: Located in the wine road of « Terre di Pisa » territory, Terricciola is the reference in term of wine culture in this area. The numerous Etruscan findings suggest its central role for the production of wine and olive oil already in the old times, certainly because of the particular type of soil, characterized by sands and fossil deposits, favorable for the cultivation of olives and vines. The name Terricciola refers to the word earth, therefore to the concept of Terroir. The village is part of the National Association of Wine Cities. Casa Loumavi is a typical Tuscan old home, settled in the middle of its vineyards and olive trees plantations. After renovations in 2020, it is still a little winery with olive oil production but only for friends and family. Landscape and view here are just amazing! No neighbour around, calme and peace. The house is 35mn from Pisa International airport (very convenient), and 1h from Florence airport. Now you are in Tuscany, in the heart of culture and history... what to do here, the list is so long and impossible to summarize! You can easily spend a day in Florence or Siena, go to eat truffles in San Miniato, a gelato in San Giminiano, visit the Etruscan museum in Volterra (all in less than 40mn from home), but also do running or walking in our wonderful countryside, taste the flavors of amazing Italian food, visit some wines, olive oil, or even cheese producers, wonderful typical restaurants are all over... Thanks also to its long, warm and sunny days, there is a surprising diversity of flora and fauna in Tuscany: its national parks, nature reserves, mountains and vast forests offer them so many welcoming habitats. Few of them know that Tuscany is home to extraordinary wildlife. Around Casa Loumavi, you can sometimes spot animals like hare, roe deer, porcupine, badger, dormouse, red fox, pheasant and even wild boar. The whole of Tuscany is also fantastic for bird enthusiasts: its mountains and marshes are home to many species such as the tawny owl, heron, breasted blackbird and the rare falcinelle ibis. That's why you can also decide just take a rest on the terrace, open your eyes on the nature and read a book on the sun. WHERE WE ARE: Coming from PISA-FLORENCE-LIVORNO: Fi-Pi-Li highway, take Pontedera-Ponsacco exit. Follow the signs for Casciana Terme. After passing Ponsacco follow Terricciola (crossroads on the left). CASA LOUMAVI is located in between Stibbiolo and Morrona, about 3 km before Terricciola and is clearly visible by the road on the right, opposite side of Sorelle Palazzi winery.
