House in Porkeri

House in Porkeri This is our house in Porkeri. We often travel to Porkeri for the weekends. When we are not there, we want to share it with others through Airbnb. The house is my grandmother’s house. It was built in 1925 and is a part of “Skipararekkjan”, which is a road where all the houses are built by the same old Faroese model. The house is in three floors. On 1st floor is a basement. On 2nd floor is kitchen, living room and a toilet. And on 3rd floor are 4 bedrooms, a toilet and a locked room where we keep our things. The house is in good condition but has all the old furniture. Porkeri is a quiet village with around 300 inhabitants. There is a shop in Porkeri, where you can get most groceries. Vágur is 5 minutes’ drive from Porkeri. And Tvøroyri is 15 minutes’ drive from Porkeri. If you travel by bus, the busstop is rigth outside the house
