Gillis House Cottage in Heritage Village

This adorable cottage built during the 1800's, retains much of its original charms with many modern amenities as well. Full of upscale antiques and local artifacts, the house has been restored and furnished with items from local estates. Stay in the Old Town historic district in one of it's most luxurious rentals. On Heritage Village Square and across the street from Sturdivent Hall. This cottage also boasts its own private courtyard. There is only one main bedroom but there is a pull out sofa in the sitting room. The owners live in the neighborhood. The house is within walking distance of many homes listed on the register of Historic places, including Sturdivent Hall and Heritage Village. The house is a 10 minute drive from historic Live Oak Cemetery. We are about 15 minutes from the archeological site of Old Cahawba, the 1st capitol of Alabama. We are also a short drive from many sites that are important to the Civil Rights Movement such as the Edmund Pettus Bridge and the Voting Rights Museum. Driving is the best way to get around Selma. There is no public transportation. There is a security camera outside
