The room is private and located in a residential home in the mountains. Come to hike and view waterfalls and a time to unwind. A very quiet area for extreme relaxation. 25 minutes to Brevard for restaurants, but we provide a small private kitchenette which includes a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, hot plate, dishes and utensils for small quick meals and breakfast. See our "Guidebook" for trails, waterfalls, POI's, food, & more. Our hot tub is cleaned with enzymes, no harmful chemicals. 4 steps takes you in through a private entrance. Your queen bedroom has a private entrance and includes a private bath. When your queen room is rented, other rooms will remain vacant so you will enjoy total privacy for the bathroom and common areas. Lanai, deck and hot tub are all common areas for our guests' pleasure and relaxation. Yard, fire ring and chairs are available for wiener roasts and night time fires. Firewood and starting materials are furnished by host. We will accommodate you in any way we can to make your vacation a memorable one. We are non smokers. Our 4 children have left the coup and we love experiencing guests. If privacy is what you desire, we will also make that available to you. We may not be on the premises but will only be a text away for questions. Lock box is on the entrance door. We welcome questions and communication. Yard, fire ring and chairs are available for wiener roasts and night time fires. Dan can provide detailed information on hiking trails and scenic waterfalls to help make your vacation a memorable one if you so desire. Roam into the Lanai for awesome sunrises or bring your wine and favorite book to sit and watch the deer and elk on the mountainside. Enjoy the hot tub anytime of the day or until 10 at night and make a fire and roast wieners and marshmallows in the firepit. Host provides all starting materials for your convenience, even the wiener sticks. Go into the kitchenette to prepare some sandwiches and snacks for your hike and waterfall viewing, one triple waterfall within walking distance of the house. There is shop to rent kayaks, fishing equipment and tubes for the river just 15 minutes down the mountain road. We welcome questions, suggestions and communication with our guests . You will be parking next to our blue jeep in the yard. Follow the Airbnb Guest Entrance sign which points you to your entrance. We can offer suggestions to help you find things to do while here suggesting many, many types of activities and then we can help you with suggestions of great eating places, festivals or productions you might be interested in, all within a day's travel. You may want to take a day and see Asheville, Hendersonville, Waynesville or even Greenville which you can easily drive to and explore in a day. Casino, breweries, hiking, viewing waterfalls, you name it, we have it. Just ask us. explore (Website hidden by Airbnb) is a good site to see what is happening daily while you are visiting our area. We may or may not be on site at all times. We will respect your comfort level of interaction and/or privacy. We are a very secluded and quiet neighborhood. Our guests typically are here to hike, view our vast amount of waterfalls and just plain relax. Our deck has a wonderful view of Pilot Mountain and below us is a farmer who has exotic animals and deer and elk. There is also a fish farm directly below us. All good for photo shoot. We don't have a restaurant up here in the mountains so one would need to bring along food or drive into Brevard which is about 25 minutes. Parking is in the yard and hiking trails are easy to access by car from our location. Plenty of maps are furnished so it will be easy to know how to find your way to the nearest waterfall (walking distance) or trails which are very close. You will park in our yard next to the blue jeep and follow the sign to the Airbnb Guest Entrance. Don't forget to give us a text to let us know approximately when we can expect you. Brevard is about 25 miles away which has lots of restaurants and activities. There are no restaurants in Balsam Grove so plan accordingly for your meals.
