A homely two bedroom cottage with superb views of the Northern end of the beautiful Sirhowy Valley. On the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Main bedroom king size bed, 2nd bedroom, queen size bed. On your doorstep you have lovely Riverside, mountain and woodland walks. With views up and down the Sirhowy valley such as the picture of an old barn set down near the river only minutes from the cottage , and a little refuge for a variety of birds. An abundance of wildlife including Fox, Badger, Otter, Kingfisher,Herons and the occasional Chicken and Duck walking past the front door. Tawny and Barn owls are frequently seen at night, so don't forget your torch!!. Also great for star gazing here or a very short trip to Llangynydr Moors. There is a cycle path that will take you to the main road, and then all the way to Tredegar Town Centre. A bus service is available every hour at the top of the hill. A car is definitely the best way to see the area. Bryn Bach Park 5 minute drive. Bike Park Wales 15 minute drive Brecon Beacons National Park 10 minute drive. Big Pit mining museum 20 min drive. Fantastic and its free to go underground. Crickhowell and Abergavenny just a 20 min drive away. Trefil, the highest village in Wales and home to many filming location such as Dr Who, Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy and Hollywood blockbuster, Wrath of the Titans just 10 min drive away. Zipworld at Tower Colliery is 25 min drive away. I do like to have a good communication with my guests as want them to feel at home and take care of any needs or issues they may want to ask about. Ultimately here to help I recommend having transport as the cottage is semi rural. But access to local bus route is a two minute walk. Also cycle path/footpath which will take to the main town of Tredegar. If you want a quiet, peaceful getaway, Ava's cottage offers it all.
