Grange Court Mews has everything you would ever need for a perfect self-catering stay. It offers a warm and comfortable place to be with period features throughout. You are greeted by a beautifully decorated hallway, that leads onto the snug and open planned kitchen with a log burning stove for autumnal and winter days. The hallway leads you to a walk-in boot room and beyond a stairway that leads to a bright and luxurious bedroom with ample storage and a king size bed. The bathroom is clean and contemporary with a large shower. Getting around the local area and the wider county usually needs a car or motorcycle or bicycles but local buses do run daily but infrequently. We offer a taxi service, and work with other taxi companies in the area so getting around when you need to is never a challenge. Temple Sowerby is a village between Penrith and Appleby and has a reputation as the “Queen of Westmorland Village”. It is set around a beautiful village green and gets its name from the Knights Templar, who once owned Sowerby Manor. It is a historic small village with plentiful supply of sandstone brick farms and mansion houses and is one of a few Westmorland villages retaining a maypole. Our village community is an active one, diverse in age and in the type of events it hosts on an annual basis. There is a thriving primary school and the historic church of St James built in 1754 sits centrally upon the green. The village and community alike offer a beautiful place of interest, set in a great and accessible location and extends a warm and friendly welcome. Getting around the local area and the wider county generally requires some mode of transport depending on how far afield you wish to go. A car or motorcycle or bicycles are advantageous but local buses do run daily but infrequently. We offer a taxi service, and work with other taxi companies in the area so getting around when you need to is never too much of a challenge.
