A pretty & extremely comfortable home with exquisite garden in the delightful village of Ardingly, perfect for the South of England showground, its antique fairs & shows, plus so many other attractions. The house is situated in a private Close, convenient for walking to all local amenities. High speed fibre broadband, parking for 2 visitor cars as well as use of the gorgeous deck and garden are included. Breakfast of homemade sourdough bread & preserves & evening meals available on request. This 1930’s semi has been extended & modernised to a high standard & boasts a gorgeous, large kitchen/dining/reception area with full wall bifold doors opening onto a large deck and the garden. I offer a large bedroom with super-king bed with Tempur mattress and beautiful handmade quilt, cushions & wall artwork, tv (Amazon Prime only), luxurious thick carpet, wardrobe & cupboard space and vanity/desk area with seat. The room benefits from a gorgeous en suite bathroom with small roll top bath & rainforest shower over. Guests are welcome to help themselves to Nespresso or various teas in the kitchen. In addition, at an extra charge, the 2nd floor offers a great space for youngsters with a super king zip and link bed which converts into 2 extra wide, extra long single beds plus a sofa and coffee table for relaxing or working. You’ll be assured of a warm & personal welcome. I’m always happy to share my local knowledge & help in any way I can. I do work from home and therefore appreciate my privacy during the day, but am always available at breakfast time, during check-in & most evenings. Puzzles & games available as well plenty of local information, maps etc. Numerous (fine) dining opportunities nearby including Gravetye Manor & Alexander House as well as curry houses, fish & chips etc. Ardingly College, the reservoir, the Millenium Seedbank & Wakehurst Place are in walking distance. Convenient for; Bluebell Railway, Sheffield Park, Leonardslee, Lindfield racecourse, Gatwick airport, Charlwood, Gravetye Manor, Alexander House, numerous golf course & endless fabulous walks eg The High Weald Landscape Trail. Local artisan bakery, a cafe, Chinese takeaway and 2 pubs serving food as well as a village shop are all in easy walking distance. The South of England showground is also easy to walk to and is popular with families for dog walks & family walks. The local playground & sports pitch is also a short walk. There are many fantastic country walks in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. High Weald Landscape Trail, South Downs Way, Sussex Border Path, Forest Way, are just some of the amazing walks on offer locally. There are local buses and taxis but a car is ideal to take advantage of everything the area offers. The space is shared with myself and my dog. Guests are expected to vacate the premises during the day except by arrangement. The living area is shared at mealtimes (if meals have been requested) and is otherwise for the owner’s exclusive use except by prior arrangement. On request, guests may use the top floor to relax or work, where there is a comfortable 2-seater sofa and coffee table.
