Nestled into a native garden our newly renovated mud brick and timber retreat offers a great getaway. In the morning and evening enjoy watching the antics of the bird life as they feed. Montsalvat Artists centre is within 10 minutes walk. Eltham town is 3km away and has great local shopping, cafes and the train station. Pick up from train can be negotiated. Eltham is the gateway to the Yarra Valley wine region. Airy and quiet the studio style room and kitchenette offers everything you need and has a brand new bathroom. We will check in with you to make sure you’re all settled and can be contacted easily if you’re after some local knowledge or recommendations. Eltham is hilly and has lots of great walking trails. It’s a 30 minute walk to the town and station or you can bus it. We are 5 mins walk to the Main Yarra trail. Every Sunday the local farmers market in Eltham is a thriving place to enjoy, you might also pick up the ingredients for a relaxing lunch and wine on the deck back at Rodda Retreat. A car makes it easier but there are lots of options if you’re happy to walk or cycle There will be a Car parking spot in the front of our house for you. You then walk up the side of the house and follow the red brick path beside the garage to Rodda Retreat.
