I'm happy to show you how to find trails and places to rent gear. I have bicycles and snow shoes for rent on site. Not only is Algonquin Park nearby, but there are lots of beautiful spots to hike and bike right around the hostel. The quirky little town of Maynooth offers a smorgasbord of art and antique shops. Come once, you'll fall in love! While the Greyhound bus runs every Friday and Sunday from both Ottawa and Toronto, I'd recommend renting a car if you can. But don't worry, if you come by bus, there's lots to do around the hostel. There are trails to walk to from the hostel and lakes to swim in are a short bike ride away. Long weekends tend to book up months in advance. August and September are my busiest months.
