Charming little house in a traditional village

Single room small house made of stones located in a traditional Portuguese village nearby the country side. Two beds, one at the ground level and the second one on the mezzanine (accessible by a ladder). Fireplace (stove) for wintertime, small kitchen, bathroom with shower. Perfect to attend with confort Boom Fest in Idanha-a-nova. Very simple yet cosy little house, all recently renovated, new bathroom with shower and mezzanine. For all those who like stillness, silence, simplicity and typical Portuguese village in the middle of the country-side ! Very good fresh air with a lot of cork oaks, lemon, orange and olive trees all around the region. Car is the best option for mobility. Minimalist public transport offers bus rides to Castelo Branco and to Idanha-a-nova. Otilia and Nuno Manuel, members of my family, are living on a daily basis in Olêdo for the last ten years as they come from this region and they are always available to share informations about the region and give any assistance needed during your stay. They can also give access to a washing machine if necessary. The BOOM Festival is very near from the House (around 7 km). A regional bus passes three times a day in Olêdo to transport you to Idanha-a-Nova and from there, a special navette takes you directly to the Fest. Having a car is also great to visit the Serra da Estrela's region, which is very near, as well as Monsanto, Belmonte and other historical villages. The village host an international community of people and families from around the World who contribute to refresh the social tissue of the region while developing their knowledge and knowhow of sustainable practices related with the land (olive oil production, organic food production, organic seeds production, natural soaps, etc.).
