Located off a quiet country lane, this barn annexe is a great place to unwind in peaceful surroundings. The spacious enclosed garden has uninterrupted far reaching views of this wonderful constable countryside. There is an abundance of foot paths and wild life all around the property and only a 10 mins walk to the village of Hartest which has a great country pub. Close to market town of Bury St Edmunds and villages of Lavenham and Long Melford this is a perfect place to explore suffolk. The property is set back from a quiet country lane at the end of sweeping driveway. With separate access from the main house, leading to an entrance hall with plenty of space for shoes, coats, boots and even pets. There is a large main lounge/dining area with 49 inch smart TV, comfy corner sofa and pitched ceiling with beams making the whole area feel very spacious. Leading from the living area there is a bathroom with bath and shower attachment, kitchen and stairs to the twin bedroom which is in the eaves of the barn. This room has far reaching country views and is ideal for children. The large master bedroom has king size bed, open pitched ceiling and countryside views. BBQ and seating area is located in own private garden to the front of the Annexe. The surrounding fields are a real haven for wildlife including resident Barn owls, little owls and at night badgers passing through. There is also lots of wild deer. Care should be taken when driving up the lane especially at night to make sure they are avoided. Access is via an electronic gate. Guests have access to all areas of annexe and have use of own private garden to front of annexe with ample parking. Note: the main house is occupied and they share the driveway - but not the garden. Hartest is a beautiful village set around a picturesque, traditional Suffolk village green, complete with award wining pub serving great food with a large garden and children's play-frame to the rear. Plenty of footpaths all around with stunning scenery. Bury St Edmunds is a very pretty market town with an abundance of independent shops, bars and restaurants, historical buildings, a cathedral and gardens, and is located approximately 20 minutes away by car. The pretty (large) village of Long Melford is an approximate 10 minute drive; it offers a good choice of coffee shops, pubs, independent shops, PO, pharmacy, general stores and a Co-Op. The famous, historical wool town of Lavenham is also a short drive away. Should you wish to go further afield, the University City of Cambridge is an approximate 45 minute drive. There is a butcher on the village green and a good general store and PO in nearby Glemsford. Car needed as this is a rural location and bus services are infrequent. Train and bus stations at Sudbury and Bury St Edmunds.
