Luxury Bush Escape
Our secluded Blue Mountains studio features stunning uninterrupted views of the bush and a modern bathroom and kitchen (and a private bouldering wall for rock climbers!). Take a bath while gazing at the tree-lined horizon. Comfortably fits two adults, with a futon for kids or a guest. NOTE: Our priority is guests' safety during COVID-19 times. This studio is private, with no need to see anyone during your stay. We adhere to Airbnb's Enhanced Cleaning processes. Soap & hygiene products provided. Our studio is ideal for those wanting a base from which to explore the Blue Mountains for a weekend, a week or more! It is completely separate from our main house with private access, as well as blinds to block sight lines to the main house. Having a car/hire car is required. Perfect for couples, singles or families of up to four. The studio includes a kitchen (four-burner stove, oven, microwave, mini fridge), bathroom (with views of the bush), walk-in wardrobe and contemporary furnishings. Plus it has a high-quality reverse cycle heater/air-conditioner, so it's beautifully warm or cool no matter what time of year you visit. THERE IS NO TV - which most of our guests appreciate as it offers a chance for some screen-free time. One of the main highlights is the bathroom, where you can enjoy a shower or bath while taking in the beautiful views. There's something magical about being so close to nature in the bathroom! We also provide tea-light candles to make your bathroom experience even more relaxing. The space is combined kitchen/dining/living/bedroom, and there is plenty of room for all visitors to escape to their own nook. The pitched ceiling creates an airy, light-filled atmosphere, and the creature comforts we provide give that extra feeling of luxury. The studio also looks out onto its very own BRAND-NEW bouldering wall and hangboard - which makes this a perfect retreat for rock-climbers. (Note: use of the bouldering wall by arrangement only, but you can use the hangboard any time). Underneath the studio, in the garage, is a full size ping-pong table - a great wet-weather activity! Bring your yoga mat, your journal, a good book, your guitar or anything that you don't usually have time for - and enjoy it in our serene space. Guests can enjoy private access and parking. You will also have access to the downstairs deck of our house, which provides the same bush views as the studio in a shaded outdoor area. We rarely - if ever - go downstairs so the bottom deck is like your own private outdoor area. We will greet guests where possible and provide recommendations on things to do, such as the best walks, adventures, cafes, restaurants and other local secrets. You can even check out some tips on my blog: True Blue Mountains dott com dott au Guests are advised that while we make every effort to ensure your stay is as private as possible, we do have two young children and sometimes that means we might be in the backyard on occasion, or playing on the trampoline on the bottom deck. If complete silence 24/7 is what you're after, please contact me before booking and I'm sure we can arrange it somehow (I'm not so sure I can arrange it with the birds, wildlife and weather, though, so you'll have to suffer the odd wind-whistle or kookaburra call at sunrise... ;)) Bullaburra is a 5-minute drive to Wentworth Falls, which features some of the Blue Mountains' most spectacular walks and views, plus cafes and restaurants; and a 10-minute drive to Leura and Katoomba, the home of the Three Sisters and some of the Mountains' best coffee, dining and boutiques. There is a train station at Bullaburra; however we recommend having a car or rental car if staying at our studio as that will make it much easier to get around to the sights of the Blue Mountains. After hosting hundreds of guests, I've made a list of items that you might like to pack (which we are unfortunately unable to provide) that may make your trip even more comfortable. * Slippers. The studio has jute carpet, which some people find gives an excellent foot massage when walking around in socks, while others may find it more comfortable to wear slippers. Pack yours if you like cushioned soles :) * Eye mask. The studio is lovely and sunny. Some guests relish this, whereas others prefer their sleep-ins to be a bit darker. Pack your eye mask if this is you. * Food & snacks. I provide tea and coffee, 250ml of milk and some chocolates, but if you'd like heartier nibbles and nosh when you arrive - please BYO. * Luxurious toiletries. I provide shampoo and conditioner, body wash and scented oil for an oil burner, but for maximum luxury BYO your favourite bath additive (no glitter bath bombs please!) and any body-is-your-temple products. * Umbrella & warm coat. Check the weather forecast before you arrive, and be sure to be ready for chilly or drizzly moments. Please get in touch with any questions about what to bring if you're unsure, and I'd be happy to help. ## Longer stay options are available. Please contact to discuss.
