The Quantock Hills are very close by and this is a great base from which to explore Somerset. You are welcome to use the large dining room table (quiet space) for your laptop, or work. Although there is a hospitality tray in the guest room, you are welcome to come down to the kitchen to make a cuppa for a change of scene (this is paused for the time being during the COVID crisis). Apart from the guest room, you are welcome to make a cuppa in the kitchen, or use the dining room table for reading or working (this is paused for the time being during the COVID crisis). I give my guests space but am available when needed. I am happy to socialise as much or as little as guests would like (during the COVID crisis, this is paused - I am welcoming guests by doing the check-in socially-distancing in the garden, then guests see themselves up to their room. I lay breakfast in the dining room and, when guests come down, I do not go into the dining room. During the stay, I do not service the bedroom by making the beds or emptying the bin, asking guests to let me know by message if they need anything). It is in Cotford St Luke, only 4 miles from Taunton. There is a local shop and a pub/restaurant within a few minutes walk. There are bus links to Taunton and it is close to the motorway junction to London or the South. The Quantock Hills are very close by and this is a great base from which to explore Somerset. There is plenty of parking just outside the house, which is in a quiet cul-de-sac.
