In the surrounding area, you can explore a number of activities and places, such as: river beaches (Ribeira Grande, Malhadal, Aldeia Ruiva, Cardigos, Trízio, Fernandaires, etc.), water sports, gastronomy, hiking, typical events or schist villages (Aldeias do Xisto).
