Get away from it all and enjoy the best of the Huon Valley on this 85 acre, fully private, newly renovated retreat. Situated in quaint Geeveston and only 5km from the centre of town it is the perfect base from which to explore the delights of the Huon Valley and local highlights such as the Tahune Airwalk, Hartz rangers and Hastings caves. Relax next to the fire, breaky on the deck, explore the property, wander down to the creek or just spend some quiet time enjoying the sounds of nature The property has just undergone a full renovation with a new kitchen installed, freshly painted throughout and new carpets. The master bedroom has wrap around windows providing beautiful morning views. The room also has a reverse cycle heater/cooling and ceiling fan to ensure comfort regardless of the season. Both the main bathroom and powder room are simple but offer great views into the Tassie bush. The property is located at the end of a dead end road, up a long driveway and offers total privacy. Once there, the only hint of the outside world you will experience is the occasional sound of our car as we go past on the shared driveway to the neighbouring property....our weekend retreat (about 500mtrs away but cannot be seen from the house). The driveway up from the road is a couple of hundred meters long and is reasonably steep however it is in very good condition after being recently been resurfaced and is accessible by 2wd cars. Apart from our retreat a few hundred meters away your nearest neighbour is nearly 1km back along the road. The township of Geeveston is 5km away and, while being small, has an supermarket and a number of cafes The 85 acres is a mixture of open spaces (around the house), cool temperate forest in the valley along the permanent creek as well as mixed bush (gum, blackwood, wattle etc). There are a number of walking tracks for you to explore the property. The property is home to a range of wildlife including wallabies, echidnas, the occasional wombat, quolls, lyrebirds and other native species.
