Tranquil villa 45 mins from the city of Colombo. We gladly invite you to our lake house to experience the peace and solitude of the environment that surrounds. Our guest room that comfortably sleeps 4 is on offer with exclusive and private use of the entire villa. An outdoor pool awaits with stunning views of the lake; a tropical paradise for bird lovers with occasional visits from gray langurs, porcupines and monitor lizards (away from the villa but close enough to get glimpses of). This villa is a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature and stunning views of the lake and mangrove forest. The house is designed with an open plan living, dining, pantry space leading to an outdoor veranda, pool, garden and lake. The guest room on offer is a large air conditioned bedroom with a king bed, a single bed and a sofa bed and has an attached bathroom. The outdoor veranda, pool and garden can be directly accessed from the room with views of garden and lake. It’s a perfect hideaway for couples, friends and families. Guests will also have access to two kayaks and life vests for adventures on the lake. Use of the whole villa except for master bed room. Kitchenette with fridge, microwave, oven and stove. Tea and coffee will be available on self service basis. The live-in gardener is on call if required. Plenty of small stores around with local street food. Contactable at all times via phone, messaging and email. The caretaker Doraisami will take care of the daily duties at the house and is available to make your stay relaxing and memorable. He can prepare a basic rice and curry meal for lunch at a nominal charge of 500 rupees plus ingredients. The house is situated in keselwatte and the close knit local community will not fail to give you a glimpse of village life. There are plenty of shops and street food stores within 15 minutes by foot, or 5 minutes by tuk tuk or car. For grocery and general home necessities a Cargills (small) supermarket is 5 minutes by car and a (large) keels supermarket is a 15 minutes drive from the villa. A 24 hour medical clinic is in very close proximity to the house. Airport transfers can be arranged on request. - Smoking allowed outdoors. - No pets allowed. - pork or pork products and consumption of pork is not allowed on the property. Power cuts are common and unfortunately out of our control, but you shouldn’t be without power for too long. An emergency lamp, candles and matches are provided just in case.
