The house is near the shores of the Clyde Estuary and is bordered by Levengrove Park, an outstanding green space overlooking the ancient Castle of Dumbarton. We are 30 minutes to Glasgow Centre and 10 minutes to Loch Lomond! We have a plunge pool in the garden with hot water available for it !! Although the property was built in 1878 it has been modernised throughout. The location is perfect for day trips to Glasgow, Loch Lomond National Park and the Highlands. The house is surrounded by mature walled gardens with Rhododendrons and Rose beds. There is excellent privacy for guests. There is a garden building/ garden room and a plunge pool that can be filled with hot water! Guests can make use of the very large curved plasma screen with surround sound. In the sitting room room there is an Apple TV (please use own account). Top speed Virgin Media Super hub WiFi Broadband is active. In addition there is a luxury spa bathroom with large Jacuzzi bath and steam cabinet with rainforest walk in shower with radio. There are three public rooms (Lounge, Snug and Sitting Room) 4 bedrooms, a large family kitchen and utility room with tumble drier and washing machine. For Eco Electric Car Owners we have a Zappi wall mounted charger - just plug in your car! Guests will have complete privacy to enjoy the property and facilities. Assistance can be on hand if required. Kirktonhill is a quiet enclave of Dumbarton bordered by the River Leven, Levengrove Park and the River Clyde. The neighbourhood consists of very large detached and semi detached Victorian Villas built in the 19th Century, some built by the shipping magnets and designers. It is very quiet area, with families visiting the park, no through traffic and friendly neighbours. By car up the A9 road you are in Balloch/Loch Lomond in 10 minutes. By car Glasgow is 30 minutes away. Guests can walk 5 minutes only to Dalreoch train station with can connect you quickly to Glasgow or to the Highlands (30 minute train ride to Glasgow Centre). It takes 10 minutes to join the M8 motorway taking you to Glasgow centre in 30 minutes from the house. In1o minutes you can be in the heart of Loch Lomond national park. We love our home. It is not part of a large business. It is our home. Please look after it. As you cross the Erskine Bridge and leave Glasgow behind you enter another world of holidays, Highlands and Loch Lomond, yet you can be at the best cafes, shops, restaurants and museums in Glasgow in 30 minutes. Truly the best of both worlds.
