Calm Camping For Grown Ups. Nestled deep in the beautiful rolling countryside of Baconsthorpe, North Norfolk and a stone's throw from the extraordinary coast with its fantastic sailing and marshes teaming with wildlife, we offer a unique camping experience in our 2 stunning Tipis and 2 yurts, each able to accommodate 2 people. With the stars above, the warmth of the woodburning stove inside, the whole meadow completely off grid. It’s as close as one can get to being at one with nature. We wanted to create a camp that at heart offers a peaceful retreat that is low in numbers and high in quality experiences. We feel the best way to ensure this is to limit the numbers of happy Tipi people to 2 per Tipi. We have left a large area of the meadow uncut to encourage wildlife that is in a plenty here. Each individual Tipi has its own outside fire pit with cooking system, and pub table. There is a shared field kitchen, shared loos & showers and a communal fire pit also. We are a family 2 children and 3 dogs and 3 cats . Our home is in the next door field, and we are very happy to help whenever needed. The village of Baconsthorpe is a beautiful old Norfolk village. We have a castle and a moat and are surrounded by acre upon acre of farmland. We are 5/10 minutes from both the beautiful Georgian town of Holt and the seaside town of Sheringham. Both with lovely shops, pubs, cafes and local butchers and greengrocers and supermarkets. Guests may park in our field in the allocated parking area and walk the short distance to their Tipi. There is no electricity, please bring a torch. There is fresh bed linen provided but not towels. There are is a fridge in the kitchen and breakfast can be provided on request on arrival.
