Cool evenings with fresh mountain air make this a very comfortable area with easy access to the many amenities as listed. Complete access to the full private cottage and space for parking is available. Our home is on the property and we will be available if needed. What makes this area unique is that it is not in a typical tourist area, but rather in a country setting of mostly local Tico people. It is the real Costa Rican experience ! A safe, close-knit community where family and friends are a priority above all else. It is common to hear someone singing happily as they go about their daily routines. You can buy fruits & veggies from local farmers right at our gate as they drive along the road calling out their wares ! The bus stop is a 5 minute walk. Dominical Beach is just 15 minutes away and it is 25 minutes to city shopping in San Isidro. Our village of Platanillo is a pleasant 15 minute walk to grocery stores, a bakery, restaurants & bar, etc. Fresh fruit and vegetable stands are numerous along the road to Dominical. We are near the famous Nauyaca Water Fall tour and reptile sanctuary, Reptilandia. We have a young cat who is free to roam the property and although shy, he may get curious enough to venture onto the patio. This is a typical country community so you may experience the sounds of an occasional cow, chickens, roosters crowing, and many exotic birds. Dogs are also an integral part of Tico rural life to protect properties and livestock with barking to alert owners. People routinely call greetings to one another as they pass by in their friendly way.
