Beautiful 3 bed home with fire nestled in hills
This would be a perfect stay for a couple or a group who are wanting a relaxing weekend of outdoor activities and proper country pubs! New Mills is the best kept secret of the Peak District. There are great walks, cycle routes, climbing and wild-swimming spots, and you're nearby to other popular attractions too. My house has large rooms and country charm which should make for a homely stay - muddy boots and paws are very much welcome. The house is an old stone-built terrace with high ceilings, large windows, and a countryside feel. Downstairs there is an open plan living and dining area with fireplaces in both rooms. Through the dining room you move into an extended kitchen and pantry which gives access onto the garden. The garden is backed by fields. Upstairs there are three double bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is free on-road parking on Laneside Road and on the main road (Low Leighton Road). There are two train stations in New Mills which give great access into Manchester, Buxton, Sheffield, and the surrounding areas. You can walk from the station to the house but there is quite a steep hill (this is the Peak District after all...!). I would recommend travelling by car so you can explore. I can be flexible with check-in/departure times so please email me if you have a request. Please know - this is my full-time home and not a holiday rental, so it might feel more 'lived-in' than other airbnbs. It is priced accordingly.
