A wooden log cottage provides a cozy and warm atmosphere. The upper floor offers accommodation for up to 7 people, while lower floor has a large common area with a fireplace, bathroom and toilets. There is a TV, but no wifi. Fireplace is the main source of heating, wood is provided,but you have to take care for a fire by yourself. A special feature of the cottage is the large panoramic door, which further opens the space. It leads to the spacious and green terrace, alongside the calm stream. Check our IG account @pred.peklom Ohonica is a part of Borovnica Municipality. It is a small settlement, surrounded by forest and meadows. Pekel Gorge (Soteska Pekel) is reachable within walking distance (1,5 km or 15 minutes). Gorge consists of 5 waterfalls. In the summertime you can refresh in a clear water after a peaceful hike. Town Borovnica is 2 km away. There you can find supermarkets, gas station, a post office, a bank, pharmacy, restaurants, a bakery, a few coffee places and a train station. Close-by is also Ljubljana Marshes Nature Park (Ljubljansko barje) where you can go for a walk, birdwatching, kayaking or take a trip with a bicycle. A bit bigger city Vrhnika is 7 km away-a place where the Marsh and the Karst region meet. On the way there you can stop in Technical Museum Slovenia in Bistra which is situated in the former monastery complex. There are many things to see and do in our area, countless opportunities to discover both nature and culture. A train to Ljubljana takes 20 minutes and they go frequently. There are also good train connections to Postojna and the coast. And also a possibility to rent a car nearby (reservation is required). We can also provide bicycle-free of charge. There is possibility to rent e-bikes as well.
