In the rustic house: > its fresh in Summer and cosy in Winter, due to its large stone walls! > in the ground floor: the kitchen, a WC, and a living room, with dining table, a wood oven and comfy armchairs; > in the 1st floor is the bedroom with a queen-size bed, a desk and great views. A second small room with a double bed can be used for a third guest (2 children or one friend). > 9 pedestrian routes, climb the mountain São Simão, with great views to Spain! > wild animals: deer, vultures, otters in the Tejo river... > river beaches: the Tejo river (2km), the “Povoa e Meadas” sea, Portagem and a secret waterfall... > do canoeing, visit the Portas de Ródão, and don’t forget a picnic > Fadagosa SPA > Castles: Marvão, Castelo de Vide, Amieira do Tejo > menhir of Meada > great restaurants in Nisa, the Nisa-cheese and “sopas de peixe” > and of course, our small village Salavessa, with 2 cafés, a bakery, and a community house with a library with wifi (just 1min from the house) There is a direct train from Lisbon to Vila Velha de Ródão. Then its more 25 min with a taxi to Salavessa. Bus: Expresso Bus until Nisa, then 15 min to Salavessa. By car: Leave Nisa at the EN 526, pass through the tiny village Pé da Serra until you reach Salavessa. Park at the main central street in Salavessa (several spots), as there is no permanent parking at our street. To the 5ha land you can walk or go by car (1.5km).
