Unique and tranquil getaway on 43 acres, right on the Ninety Mile Beach. “Silverwood” has been carefully restored with some quirky charm. No neighbours in sight, just the views of the ocean and the salt marsh. Abundant bird life and visiting echidna, kangaroo and koala. “Silverwood” offers a very private environment well off the road with expansive lawns for family fun, salt marsh and forest to explore. Only the sound of the waves and the birds song to help you relax in the beauty of nature. “Silverwood” is totally private and you will have it all to yourself. Not even the sound of passing cars as the house is set well back on a dead end road. The house is an interesting design with timber panelling and unique shaped windows. The upstairs living area offers views if the ocean and access to a balcony. With autumn upon us you might enjoy the wood fire heater on the cooler nights. Guests have full access to the house however the sheds and garage are locked. If you have any questions I’ll do my best to answer them. Due to the remote location, if you need on site assistance it may by several hours away. Woodside Beach has and caravan Park where you can buy an ice-cream from the kiosk. Through the summer, the surf lifesaving club at Woodside Beach is patrolled by volunteers. On special occasions usually weekends and public holidays they might have a food van visiting. On autumn days after Easter you can enjoy a brisk walk along the beach in total privacy. You’ll be lucky to see another human being. The 90 mile beach is nothing but magnificent! The water will return to the salt marsh and so will be birds. You will truly feel that you have escaped to the country. Remember your nearest supermarket is at Yarram 30 km away so bring what you need. Self drive car is your best option for getting around to local attractions. Jack Smith Lake Reserve - Featuring extensive coastal lagoons, salt marshes and native grasslands. Tom Cap Vineyard - EAT/DRINK In the heart of Gippsland this award winning boutique vineyard is worth a visit. The Won Wron and Mullungdung State forests - are north east of the town of Yarram on the South Gippsland Plain. Won Wron occupies 6700 ha and Mullungdung 13800ha. The two forests are bisected by the Bruthen Creek. Take a drive to Seaspray - Seaspray is a small coastal town located alongside the Ninety Mile Beach about 10 kilometres off the South Gippsland Highway. Swim between the flags here in summer months. McLoughlins Beach - Jetty, rebuilt in 1985, try dropping a line. Take a walk along the boardwalk and through the forest to the open ocean. Jack Smith Lake reserve is only 500 metres up the road and boasts 7000 acres of coastal woodlands and marsh to explore on your horse, motor bike or 4 wheel drive.
