Bright and spacious 3 bed family house with garden
Our place is a lovely, cosy home in a quiet residential street, with good public transport links to Brighton city centre where The Lanes are great for shopping, visit the seafront, and stunning scenery of the South Downs. Only 1 hr to London, 40 min to Gatwick. We have a large garden, beautiful working fireplace, ambiance, peace, stylish and comfortable living with many local shops just a 2 min walk. Great for couples, families (with kids), 3 generation families (kids and grandparents too!). The garden is very big and just goes on and on, with a veggie patch, great terrace seating area for barbecuing and a play area for little ones as well as lots of lawn for kicking a ball around, flowers, mature shrubs and trees. Plenty of parking space on our double drive off the road at the front of the house and there are often many free parking spaces on the street. Inside there is an enormous kitchen/dining area with everything you need, a downstairs office which has a double sofa-bed in, a delightful modern feel large lounge, and upstairs, a kids room with bunk bed and a luxurious feel master bedroom with modern en suite. Access all areas. The whole house is for the guests use. You will have the place to yourselves, free to get on and enjoy your stay without any intrusions. We are always on hand to answer questions or sort any problems. Poplar Avenue is a leafy, not overly busy road with lots of quite elegant 30's 3-4 bedroom houses and cherry trees all the way up. As you go higher up the road you get views of the sea and as Hangleton is high up, views over the rooftops to Hove and behind, the South Downs. It's quiet, the road outside our house only has the odd swish of traffic. There are lots of seagulls on the rooftops! Our neighbours all around are great. A very brief 1-2 minute walk brings you to Hangleton centre with 2 local supermarkets, 2 pubs, Post office, petrol station, bakery, butcher, chemist, wine merchants, a Chinese and Indian takeaway, and various other shops. There are rec parks nearby and a station to Hove or Brighton a 10 minute walk. There is a bus stop (5a & 5b) 20 metres from our house which goes to Brighton, buses very frequent, Churchill Square is 35 min or you can walk a pleasant 10 minutes to Aldrington train station and be in Hove in 2 mins and Brighton 4-5 ins. A car could be made available for your use by special arrangement. The bunk bed in the kids room is not really suitable for adults or large overgrown teenagers with big feet and bad haircuts - and the other sleeping arrangements beside the luxurious master bedroom is a very comfortable, brand new double sofa bed downstairs in the office, which is over the hall from the lounge and has it's own door- so it's not used as a bedroom by us but this is where we put up our guests, it's very quiet and will suit whoever sleeps there very well. It's right next to the downstairs bathroom too, which has a bath and shower, sink and loo and heated floor tiles.
