In the hub! 3 bedroom cottage. Beautiful breezes, beach outlook from the deck! Metres from Anzac Memorial Walk, Singing Ship, Bell Park, Skate park, Fisherman's beach, Main beach (patrolled holidays & w'ends), Drakes supermarket, great coffee shops, bakeries, chemist, library, post office, newsagency, hotel, op shop, adventure playground. No need for a vehicle as you are in the hub! Hosts live on adjoining property with small dogs. PLEASE NOTE: $30 extra fee where 2 guests require 2 beds Our place is a typical beach cottage, in a unique location at the base of the Singing Ship Hill. It is a very short easy walk to Pine Beach Hotel, Drakes IGA, Emu Park Pizza & Pasta, Jolt Bakery Cafe, & Bell Park Bakery....not to mention hairdressers, newsagent, chemist etc. You will quickly feel relaxed in the clean, comfortable, uncluttered cottage. The cottage is fenced together with the host's residence. There is drive-through access for parking for 2 large vehicles or a vehicle & boat/trailer. The clothesline is shared. We are happy to receive queries by message in the first instance. It's an interesting neighbourhood to be in. We sit on the deck and just watch the world go by. Most main events in Emu Park are held in Bell Park, just across the road...e.g. markets 3rd Sunday of each month, annual Oktoberfest, Xmas carols, Classic Cars, annual Festival of the Wind. As close as it is, the unique position of Seaview Cottage means you can be involved on what's going on, or stay put and relax. Being so close to the Singing Ship and beaches makes it perfect for enjoying sunrise, sunset and beautiful beach walks. The local Main Beach only 2 blocks away is patrolled by Lifesavers on the weekends, making it the perfect swimming beach. For those who prefer to swim in a swimming pool, we have good news! The public outdoor pool is heated all year round at 28°. The pool was recently refurbished and the water is very well maintained. For the adventurous who love their water sports, our closest beach, Fisherman's Beach, is the closest point on the Capricorn Coast to the islands. It is the favourite for kayakers. Fisherman's Beach is popular for launching small boats. The deep water boat ramp is at Rosslyn Harbour....a 10 minute drive north, a long the scenic coastal route. The best way to get around Emu Park is by walking, as everything is so close. If you wish to go to Yeppoon 20 kms away, or Rosslyn Bay Harbour (to visit Great Keppel Island) you will need to drive or catch a bus. Bus services are regular. The fenced yard is shared with our two dachshunds. Please be aware of them when driving in and out. Please keep gates closed.
