The Owl’s Nest - Mount Emily(MERA) Trailhead Cabin

3 bedroom (6 beds) cabin tucked in the woods next to Mount Emily Recreation Area (3,700 acres of recreation and miles of free trails) - just minutes from town. Enjoy hiking, biking, and skiing right out the front door. Host a dinner party in the large kitchen, or cook on the BBQ under the covered deck while your dogs play in the fenced yard. Finish your day cozied up next to the wood stove while the kids enjoy a movie in the bunk room. Dedicated workspace, and very fast Starlink internet onsite. With the exception of the locked shed on the north end of the property, guests are welcome to the whole space. Feel free to use the bike vise on the outside of the shed if your bike needs a wash/tune! We like to respect our guests’ privacy, and won’t be visiting the property during your stay. That said, if any problems or questions arise, we live just 10 minutes away and are happy to help. We are also eager to give suggestions on things to do/see/eat in NE Oregon. Don’t hesitate to get in touch as needed. Lovely wooded, rural neighborhood 10 mins from town surrounded by farms and ranches. Ample parking is available for cars, trucks, vans, and RVs. A short 4.5 mile drive or bike ride puts you in the heart of historic downtown La Grande. As an Anthony Lakes Ski Area lodging partner, we are pleased to offer discounted lift tickets to our guests.
