Civico21, stone house in between the hills and sea

Civico 21 is an unique space built in the ancient brick walls of an old family house located in the historic center of Nereto, surrounded by the incredible natural landscapes of the area. It's a place created to discover the incredible lands of Abruzzo where I grew up with my family. Civico 21 is an open space apartment of 65 square meters. The renovation project started in 2019 and it was inspired by the slow life of the countryside. There is a big kitchen designed for those who loves cooking, a spacious bedroom with a king bed that can be used also as studio, a changing room with bathroom. The apartment has an unique and minimalist style ideal for a couple of travelers. The apartment takes advantage of a very strategic position, it's located in the historic center of Nereto with a free parking space. There are many local food shops and supermarkets, newsagents, post office, gyms, bakeries, restaurants, pastry and ice cream shops all within walking distance. Every Tuesday morning there is the local markets where you can taste the most traditional food or but fresh ingredients from local farmers. The village is characterized by ancient churches and old squares. During the day or the evening you can enjoy walks in the countryside surrounded of typical vineyards and olive groves with sea view. Despite of being surrounded by nature, Nereto has the good fortune to be close to many inland pearls usually less visited by mass tourism including Parco Nazionale Del Gran Sasso, Rocca Calascio, I Trabocchi D'Abruzzo just to name a few. In the village there is a good service of public transportation and it's also well connected to the airports of Ancona, Pescara and Rome. The apartment is located in the historic center a few steps from craft shops, bakeries, local restaurants, bars, post offices, banks, gyms and more. All within walking distance from the house there are many paths to walk through the hills and its vineyards with a sea view. The sea is only 10km away and the Gran Sasso National Park is only 30 minutes away by car. You can move around by foot, by car or by public transports. There are many buses that connect Nereto to train stations such as Alba Adriatica, Giulianova or San Benedetto del Tronto. Furthermore, the two airports of Ancona or Pescara can be reached only 50 minutes by car or also reachable by public transports. Rome airports such as Fiumicino and Ciampino are two and a half hours away by car or direct bus. During your stay you can enjoy activities and excursion. My family and I offer cooking classes with a bespoke menu based on the traditional recipes of Abruzzo that our grandmothers taught us, at the end of the class we will enjoy the meal together. We can guide our guests for the best canteen tours to discover the most well known typical wines of Abruzzo. We will be happy to give our guests all the informations needed to discover the best places by the sea or in the mountains all easily accessible from our place.
