Carr Cottage is a characterful 19th century mill workers' dwelling. Situated in the Luddenden Valley with a multitude of walks and footpaths. Classic cycling country. Close to Halifax and its historic Piece Hall or quirky Hebden Bridge with its vibrant arts and crafts scene. We are dog friendly with excellent walks for dogs and their people in the village and surrounding countryside Excellent for cyclists. The substantial stone shed at the side of the house will securely store several bikes Totally renovated with all new fixtures, fittings and furnishing to launch in Sept 2021. With more than a nod to its past, retaining its character of a mill workers' cottage we have brought it right up to contemporary standards. 2 super comfortable king size beds. The one in the attic can be separated into 2 small singles if requested. At the rear of the house a small space for you to sit out and relax. Looks out over the host's extensive garden. There is a bus stop right outside the house with a regular service to Halifax or connecting at bottom of road with buses to Hebden Bridge. Free on street parking although there is nowhere to park directly in front of the house. Hebden Bridge railway station is 15 mins taxi ride. Frequent services to/fromYork/Leeds/Manchester/Preston. The house is perfectly placed for walking and cycling with some fantastic routes starting right at the doorstep. We live next door therefore usually on hand for any help, advice or recommendations for places to go etc Luddenden is small Pennine gritstone village nestled in the Luddenden Valley astride the River Ludd. As a conservation village it is picturesque and characterful. There are loads of amazing walks out from the village, following the river up the valley or climbing up onto the 'tops'.
