Cosy terraced cottage in rural location
You will find a warm welcome awaits you in our pink fronted terraced cottage set in a quiet rural village which is off the beaten track . It is perfect for one or two adults but not suitable for children. Must love dogs as we have two friendly pooches (see photos). Ideal location for Snowdonia. Please note there is no parking by the cottage, parking is on the road just up from the terrace. Please use our postcode to guide you to us as the directions on Airbnb take you to the wrong village!!! This is our home which we love to share, the cottage is nearly 200 years old and we are still in the process of making it ours! Your bedroom is accessed by some narrow stairs. Bed linen and towels are provided. You are welcome to use the kitchen but as the cooking source is a wood fired Rayburn ask for help if required. A variety of teas and coffee are always available so feel free to brew up. Although there is no parking on the property there is always parking on the road. Our home is a one minute walk to Mynydd Cilgwyn Mountain which is heather covered in summer and autumn and a beautiful place to see and experience nature. We are located just outside the stunning Snowdonia National Park and a Dark Sky Area. There is an amazing view from our decking and your room towards Anglesey/Ynys Môn, you can see Caernarfon Castle, The Rivals/Yr Eifl, the Menai Strait and sometimes Ireland on a very clear day. Guests have their own double bedroom; kitchen, living room and bathroom shared with home owners Jill is around much of the time, as it is our home we are present all of the time. The neighbourhood is quiet, house is at the edge of a small village. Its ideal for anyone who likes peace and tranquillity, outdoors and walking. There are some great places to eat a short drive away. Public transport is poor so a vehicle really is a necessity. Parking is on the road by the terrace Visitors climbing Wales’ highest mountain will be able to pre-book their parking spaces as part of a pilot designed to stamp out traffic issues. There have been ongoing problems with parking in the Snowdonia National Park since lockdown measures were eased. It has resulted in drivers either being fined or having their vehicles towed away after North Wales Police and Gwynedd Council decided to take action. The national park authority has now announced the launch of a booking system at the Pen-y-Pass car park at the foot of Snowdon. Available on weekends and bank holidays for the remainder of the summer, it is planned to support a wider review of parking and transport arrangements in Snowdonia. At these times, access to the car park will be reserved only for those who book ahead. The system can be accessed by visiting the booking website. The park authority said visitors will be required to show their confirmation e-mail on arrival to gain access to the car park. It said: “Anyone without a pre-booked space will need to use the park and ride facilities at Nant Peris and Llanberis to access Pen-y- Pass.
