The Hobart House — A village home in the Catskills

3 hours away from NYC, The Hobart House is a farmhouse that’s nestled on the west branch of the Delaware River in the Catskills. Enjoyable during all seasons, it’s the perfect place to get away, explore local towns, visit farms, and enjoy nature. Set in the small village of Hobart, the house is very close to nearby towns of Stamford, Bovina, Delhi, Andes, and Cooperstown. Close to skiing at Hunter, Plattekill, and Belleayre mountains! Built in 1904, the house has all the charm of an old farmhouse, brought to life with minimal styling and modern amenities throughout. There are three bedrooms, a cozy living room, dining room, beautiful kitchen, and a spacious bathroom fitted with a clawfoot tub. Outside there’s a full lawn, an outdoor picnic table with lights for twilight dining, and a fire pit and charcoal grill as well. It has everything you need for a great getaway with family or friends. It’s walking distance to fantastic local pub The Bull & Garland, two antique shops, and 6+ book stores (it’s the book village of the Catskills, after all). There are plenty of farms to visit, trails to hike, golf courses nearby, slopes to ski, and there is extremely close access to The Catskill Scenic Trail — a rural rail trail for walking, running and biking. It’s also a quick country drive to the following towns: 5 minutes to the town of Stamford where you can grab coffee, food, and groceries from favorite local shops Stamford Coffee, TP’s, Mindl’s, Solinsky’s and Catskill Outpost. 10 - 15 minutes to Brushland Eating House, Bovina Fermentory, and Russel’s in Bovina. 20 minutes to shops, farmer’s markets, and restaurants in Delhi 25 minutes to shops and Wayside Cider in Andes 25 minutes to Plattekill Mountain 30 minutes to Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame 40 minutes to Belleayre, Windham, and Hunter Mountain AND MUCH MORE! While you can use this space, please note that this area is in progress so pardon our appearance! - Our property ends at the river. Please don't explore to the other side as we butt up against a farm and our neighbor's property behind us.
