There is sandy beach access for walks, jetty and ferries at Macleay Island Jetty. 650m from 29 Cliff Terrace. Macleay Island is an easy trip from Brisbane or the Gold Coast. You can bring your own car over on Sealink Car Ferry, or take the passenger Ferry from Reland Bay Marina. You can walk, ride your bike and kayak around the island. You can also take a taxi to wherever you need to go. The Macleay Island Bowls Club offers free pick and return service (home to the Club return). A sealed road runs through the centre of the island from the ferry terminal in the south to Pat's Point picnic and swimming area in the north.
