This room is within this pretty historic property which was once a forge where people stopped to show their horses on route to London situated on Stane Street which was the first Roman road built in the UK which lead from Chichester to London. The ground opposite is where the horses where tethered, hence it is common land. The coach wheels were made and mended at the house next door called The Wheel Wrights.
