House was demolished and re-built in 2019. The new house was built with 8 star energy efficiency and features passive solar design with tilt and turn double glazed windows and other eco-features. Some of the interior walls feature bricks salvaged from the original house - this also aids sound proofing between the guest accomodation and the rest of the house. Guests have their own ensuite, private entrance and private courtyard. The room is 16 msq with an 8msq ensiute. There is a private courtyard for guests outside the room. Comfortable, good quality, queensize futon bed. There would be few locations in Adelaide as convenient as this. Exactly 3km from the GPO (city centre). Easy access to tram for beach or city, train and bus. Walking distance to the showgrounds. Tennis courts and swimming pool within walking distance . Supermarket, pub, numerous cheap restuarants, vegan cafe, library and tram stop all within 5 min walk. Private access to your room. Private ensuite. Tea and coffee provided, I also supply cooking oil, laundry detergent and other basic things that are a nuisance to have to buy when you're travelling. Guests have shared access to the lounge/kitchen/laundry. There is a good quality washing machine and iron. I meet every guest on arrival, and appreciate if guests let me know as they're about to leave. Besides that it's up to you how much contact you want to have. If you want to eat out all the time you need never enter the main house. There are shared kitchen and laundry facilities if you want them. Sorry, food preparation is not permitted in your room. The house is very close to the tram stop . Aside from the tram, there is a train station nearby. A large public swimming pool is within 5 min walk. There are also numerous restuarants and cafe's, a supermarket and other shops within 2 min walk. Cheap car hire outlets are also nearby. There is a farmer's market on Sundays about 200m away, the Showgrounds is also within 200m. Trams, trains, buses all close by. Shops and restaurants within walking distance.
